Mark is the CEO of Surmont Energy and Spoke Resources Ltd. He has served as Executive Chairman, Director and/or officer of public and private companies in the oil and gas Canadian and international E&P, Canadian oil and gas services, and IT sectors. As CEO he has led companies working in the Middle East, Kazakhstan, Argentina and Colombia in addition to Canada.
Formerly as a partner with Burnet, Duckworth & Palmer LLP and with Osler, Hoskin & Harcourt LLP with an energy-focused practice both domestically & internationally, he regularly advised on corporate and asset acquisitions and divestitures valued up to a billion dollars.
